What is the difference between guidance and psychotherapy?

Guidance is conversation and accompaniment that helps you understand your situation and weigh your options. Psychotherapy involves diagnosis and treatment provided by a licensed professional. These services are for guidance, education and spiritual support and do not include clinical psychological diagnosis or treatment.

What should I do if it is urgent?

In immediate danger call 112, for an ambulance 144. For urgent emotional support there is 143 (Die Dargebotene Hand), and 147 for children and young people. These numbers exist for urgent situations, and these services are not a substitute for them.
